About the Qualification
A nationally recognised workplace-based Level 3 NVQ Diploma designed for experienced cladding operatives working on complex roof and wall cladding systems.
The qualification develops competence in installing rainscreen wall cladding systems, roof and wall sheeting systems, curved and complex formations, working from drawings and specifications, and undertaking quality checks and work planning activities.

Mandatory Units
Learner must complete all four common mandatory units 31 credits:
Confirming Work Activities and Resources for an Occupational Work Area, Developing and Maintaining Good Occupational Working Relationships, Confirming the Occupational Method of Work and Conforming to General Health, Safety and Welfare.
Learner must then select and complete one of the following two pathways:
1. Roof and Wall Sheeting and Cladding: Complete Preparing Resources for Sheeting and Cladding Installation, Installing Sheeting and Cladding Systems on Roofs and Walls, Installing Sheeting and Cladding Rainwater Goods and Installing Sheeting and Cladding Systems to Curved and Complex Formations. Learner must also complete optional units providing at least 6 credits from refurbishment, repairs, solar collectors, boom-type MEWP, Scissor-type MEWP, Setting out or slinging and signalling suspended loads. Minimum total 132 credits.
2. Rainscreen Wall Cladding Systems: Complete Preparing Backing Walls to Receive Rainscreen Systems and Installing Rainscreen Wall Cladding Systems. Learner must also complete optional units providing at least 28 credits from refurbishment, repairs, ergonomic manipulating machines, boom-type MEWP, slinging and signalling suspended loads, setting out – or scissor-type MEWP.Minimum total 104 credits
